Qatar Tourism Announces Opening Fuwairit Kite Beach This Year
Beachgoers and kitesurfers will have to get ready since Qatar's northern shore will soon host the opening of Fuwairit Kite Beach.
The information was released by Qatar Tourism via its official social media channels. Surfing the brilliant blue waves provided exhilarating vistas. We eagerly anticipate the opening of Fuwairit Kite Beach! Qatar has some of the top kitesurfing places in the world, with sea and winds perfect for the sport, it added.

Experience Qatar's shoreline and tranquil waters, where adventuresome activities like kitesurfing, paddleboarding, parasailing, wakeboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, and more are available for water sports fans, it continued.
One of the best-kept kitesurfing secrets in the world and "the best of both worlds" are how many have described Fuwairit Kite Beach. The place is suitable for the sport due to the nine-month perfect breeze and flat lagoon.
Aside from kiteboarding, the beach offers services for snorkeling, and diving, and serves a variety of dishes with both authentic Qatari flavors and international flavors. It also has a resort, an accommodation 30m from the shore, a yoga studio, a fully equipped gym, and a pool. Surfers of all skill levels need not worry anymore because teachers and specialists are on-site and stationed at the beach for training.
Professional kitesurfer Hannah Whiteley called the beach "perfect" and said it would be wonderful if the world tour made a stop there. Every day is windy and flat. I'm confident that the other pro riders will adore it. I'm going to cross my fingers that there will be a wheel stop here because I want to come back for sure. There is nowhere in the Middle East that offers kitesurfing on the beach like this, so having a resort with those amenities is undoubtedly the dream place.
"The area with this flat water, the sandbar out the back has been [great], and the wind looks like it can be really fantastic." Professional kiteboarder Aaron Hadlow remarked, "I'm looking forward to possibly returning again one day.
Hamad International Airport is 90 minutes away from the Fuwairit Kite Beach.
While Qatar Airways serves as the Kite World Tour's title partner and official airline, Qatar Tourism was named the event's official tourism partner in July of this year for a three-year period. The title sponsor for activities hosted in Qatar will be Qatar Tourism.
GKA Secretary-General Dr. Jörgen Vogt already announced that the country will host the opening and finals of the GKA World Tour in 2023.
According to GKA, kitesurfing is the kite sport with the fastest growing in popularity and offers a variety of career paths for kitesurfers at the highest levels.
Kite freestyle, wave, and racing World Championship events and contests are now a part of the kitesurfing sport. In Paris 2024, kite racing will make its Olympic debut. Additionally, there are yearly competitions in other, more specialized disciplines including kicker and slider riding.
