Qatar’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has announced that the Winter Camping Season 2025–2026 will run from October 15, 2025, to April 15, 2026.

If you’re eyeing a camping spot, registration opens online via the MoECC website and the “Be’ah” app from October 1–14. Missed it? Don’t worry—some spots will reopen from October 15–November 15 if they’re still up for grabs.

How Registration Works

The sign-up process is split into three phases based on region:

  • Oct 1–4: Central areas (Umm Al-Atham, Rawdat Rashid, Rawdat Aisha, South Khuraij, Abu Samra, Zekreet)

  • Oct 5–8: Southern areas (Seline Reserve, Al-Nuqyan, Al-Kharara, Makinis, Seline, Khor Al-Addid)

  • Oct 9–14: Northern region

Only Qatari nationals aged 25+ can apply, and permits are personal (no transfers or subleasing). Fees and insurance are paid online—fail to confirm in 30 days, and your booking’s canceled.

Rules You Can’t Break

Campers need to keep sites clean and protect the environment. Violations mean fines or losing your permit. Authorities stressed that sustainability is a big deal this year—so no cutting corners.

Eco-Friendly Twist

For the first time, MoECC is introducing the Sustainable Environmental Camping Award, which will recognize five camps that nail eco-friendly practices like recycling, conserving resources, and protecting biodiversity.
