Israel Attacks European Hospital in Gaza

Bunker-buster bombs strike Gaza’s hospitals as Israel intensifies its offensive, with Netanyahu vowing no end to the war despite hostage negotiations.

Israel's military launched many bunker-buster bombs in the courtyard of Gaza's European Hospital on Tuesday, May 13.

The attack killed 16 people and injured 70 others. The Israeli military claimed that they struck a "Hamas command center" under the hospital. 

Earlier in the day, Israel attacked Gaza's Nasser Hospital, killing two individuals and injuring 12 others. Amongst the killed was the Palestinian journalist Hassan Eslaih. The attack was the second attack on the same building in seven weeks, according to a medical NGO. 

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that there is  “no way” that his country will stop the war in Gaza, even if a deal is reached to release more captives. 

The prime minister also added any ceasefire would be temporary. He said, "We’ll take [the captives]. and then we’ll go in. But there will be no way we will stop the war. We can make a ceasefire for a certain period of time, but we’re going to the end.”
