Doha Film Institute Reveals Qumra 2023 Masters

The Doha Film Institute (DFI) has announced Qumra 2023 Masters of the annual development event for emerging global talent.
Qumra 2023 will be held in person from March 10th to 15th, and through virtual sessions from March 19th to 21st.
British playwright, screenwriter, translator, and film director Sir Christopher Hampton, British film producer David Parfitt, American costume designer Jacqueline West, Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, and British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom are confirmed as the Masters for the 9th edition of Qumra.
The creative filmmakers and the film costume designer will deliver Master Classes to upcoming filmmakers from the GCC region and around the world.
They will also provide future talents with creative development and mentorship opportunities through mentoring programs led by global film industry experts.
Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, CEO of the DFI, said: "We are honoured to welcome five exceptional film luminaries who have defined individuality in cinema as our Qumra 2023 Masters. The mentorship these accomplished film professionals provide will be invaluable to the success of the selected filmmakers and their projects."
Qumra also allows participants to hold key business meetings with leading film industry professionals.
