Las Vegas’ Sphere Entertainment—the company behind the giant LED dome that shook up the live entertainment world—just locked in Qatari trademarks. The names “Sphere Doha” and “Sphere Qatar” were officially approved, hinting at a possible high-tech arena in the capital.
What’s Covered
The trademarks don’t just cover concerts. They span cinema, theater, esports, sports events, and even cultural exhibitions. Basically, if it entertains a crowd, Sphere’s looking at it.

Still Not Confirmed
Before you start planning concert nights, nothing is set in stone yet. Sphere’s boss, James Dolan, said expansion depends on factors like city size and tourism demand. So, Doha’s a candidate—but not a done deal.
Abu Dhabi Already Ahead
Abu Dhabi holds the only confirmed Sphere outside the US, with exclusive rights to build and operate Spheres across the Middle East and Africa for 10 years. That massive project was announced last year and is set to mirror the Las Vegas Sphere’s 20,000-seat scale.
