Bollywood and Indian Leadership Express Grief Over Tragic Ahmedabad Air India Plane Crash

Various Bollywood celebrities took to social media to mourn the devastating tragedy of the Air India's airplane crash in Ahmedabad.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan wrote on X, "Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected.”

Other Bollywood stars, including Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Kangana Ranaut, and Sonu Sood, also shared their condolences online for the people affected by the crash.

India's Prime Minister wrote on X, "The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected."

According to recent updates, 204 bodies have been recovered from the crash and one survivor has been found, who is currently receiving medical treatment for his injuries. 

Air India Boeing Dreamliner 787 flight was carrying at least 242 passengers and crew when it crashed in a congested residential area in Ahmedabad after taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Thursday, June 12.
