In Thursday evening's match at Education City, Saudi Arabia and Thailand, both already qualified for the Asian Cup round of sixteen, played to a 0-0 draw.
The game featured an early penalty for Saudi Arabia, awarded through VAR, but debutant Thai goalkeeper Saranon Anuin made a crucial save to deny Abdullah Radif.
