The victory of the Moroccan national team over its Spanish counterpart in the World Cup in Qatar, and its qualification for the first time to the quarterfinals, imposed itself on the Arab scene, where Arab art stars celebrated the victory of the Atlantic Lions.

The Moroccan national team achieved a great achievement by defeating Spain, on penalties, 3-0, after the match ended in a goalless draw, in the 16th round of the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Among the most prominent artists who congratulated Morocco:

Amr Diab

The Egyptian star, Amr Diab, congratulated the Moroccan national team, and published a photo of the team and commented on it: "Congratulations to the Atlantic Lions for the well-deserved qualification.. with my heartfelt wishes for success in the next."

George Wassouf

George Wassouf published a photo of the Moroccan national team's celebrations after the victory, and wrote on it: "A performance that raises the head of the Atlas Lions in the 2022 World Cup... We are all proud of your victory."

Ahlam

The artist, Ahlam, commented on the match, saying: “God be upon you, O Lions.. History is being written.. Praise be to God.. Impossible is not Moroccan.. the lions did it.. Raise your head, you are an Arab.”

She also published a photo of goalkeeper Yassin Bono, and wrote on it: “This hero Raise our heads... This lion is Moroccan."

Hussien El-Jasmy

Emirati artist Hussein Al Jasmi wrote a brief comment on the match, saying: "Raise your head up, you are Moroccan."

Mohamed Henedy

The artist, Mohamed Heneidy, was keen to praise Morocco’s victory, and published two photos of the Moroccan goalkeeper, one of them while saving a penalty kick, and commented: “Champions, champions, champions to the quarter-finals.. Congratulations to all the Arab world.. And congratulations to all the people of Morocco.. History is written again, and the history writer wouldn't dare close the book before you (Moroccans) writes the history again.”

Nancy Ajram

The Lebanese singer, Nancy Ajram, congratulated the Moroccan national team on its victory over Spain, and wrote: "Morocco.. there are no words that describe our feelings.. All love, appreciation and pride.. Congratulations."
