Chana Chaat is an ideal snack for iftar because it is light on the stomach and it has a cooling effect after a long day of fasting. The snack's recipe includes chickpeas, tamarind paste, onions, tomatoes, and chaat masala. The snack originated in Northern India, however, it is popular throughout the Indian subcontinent.

- 2 540 ml cans of chickpeas
- 2 boiled potatoes, diced
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup diced onion
- 1-2 diced tomatoes
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- ½-3/4 tsp red chilli powder
- ⅓-1/2 cup tamarind paste
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp sugar
- salt

- Prepare Chickpeas
تم نسخ الرابطDrain chickpeas in a strainer. If they are not soft, add them to boiling water and simmer for 5-6 minutes until soft and then drain them again. Leave them to cool.
- Add the Rest of the Ingredients
