Ramadan Recipes: Sobia

Sobia is a classic beverage of Egypt, consisting of rice, milk, coconut milk, and sugar, with a touch of vanilla for flavor. It is usually served chilled, along with crushed ice to keep it fresh.
It is a delightful recipe that can be considered a cross between a beverage and a dessert. It has a rich, flavorful taste and a slightly thick texture that provides a comforting sensation.
Although it is available throughout the year, Muslim Egyptians particularly relish it during the holy month of Ramadan when they break their fast with this refreshing drink.
