Oman FM: Iran-US Nuclear Talks on Saturday Postponed

Oman's Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi said on Thursday that the fourth round of talks between Iran and the US, which were scheduled for Saturday, have been postponed.

The foreign minister said on X, "For logistical reasons, we are rescheduling the US-Iran meeting provisionally planned for Saturday, May 3."

New dates will be announced when agreed on, he added. The talks were supposed to focus on Tehran's nuclear programme.

The indirect talks have been hosted in Oman every Saturday for the past three weeks. Oman hosted the first round in Muscat, the second round at its embassy in Rome, and the third round in Muscat again, the last round focuses on technical discussions.

Iran said on Wednesday this week that the fourth round of talks will be hosted in Rome.

The purpose of the talks is to limit Iran's nuclear programme in exchange for the removal of the strict economic sanctions the US has imposed on Tehran.
