Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesman for the health sector in the country, said that the changes that occurred in the "Covid 19" virus at the end of 2020, and the emergence of different strains of it indicate the similarity of the virus with influenza viruses, which requires updating vaccines annually to cover the new strains.

Dr. Al Hosani pointed to the most likely scenario which stated that "Covid 19" vaccination will be done annually and will be developed according to the emergence of new strains of the virus.

In an interview with Sharjah TV, Dr. Al Hosani indicated that the "Covid-19" vaccine is not compulsory, but it is in the interest of all members of society to receive the vaccination to reach a final state of recovery.
