After nearly a decade together, Cristiano Ronaldo has gotten down on one knee—proposing to his longtime partner, model Georgina Rodriguez—and fans around the world are celebrating the milestone.

Rodriguez confirmed the engagement with a touching Instagram post. The image shows her hand, elegantly resting atop Ronaldo’s, glistening with a sizeable diamond ring. Accompanying the photo, she wrote: “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Ronaldo had previously spoken about waiting for that special moment—or “that click”—that would prompt the proposal. Back in March, he remarked it could come “in a month, six months, or a year,” but added confidently, “I’m 1,000 percent sure that it’ll happen.”

The couple first met in 2016 when Georgina was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Over the years, their relationship blossomed, growing into a blended family with five children, including two they share together. Georgina has embraced a significant role not just as partner but as stepmother as well.

This engagement signals a beautiful new chapter for the couple. Ronaldo, currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, will now kick off the 2025–26 season as an engaged man—adding a personal milestone to his storied career.
