“Himma” a Qatari series that is said to be released online on YouTube aims on portraying the various cultural norms and heritage between different Arabic and Islamic cultures and countries as well as the cultures of other countries.

The online episodes of the series will trace the historical background of the Arab and Muslim civilizations in Andalusia on the cultural level and will be released on Qatar’s Ministry of Culture’s YouTube channel weekly on Thursdays and Fridays.

The series is part of the plans to promote cultural affairs and encourage initiatives that aim at enhancing media content, Qatar’s Ministry of Culture stated.

Poet Badr Al Lami, who has a huge fan base in Qatar and is an active social media celebrity, is one of the main show presenters.

The first episode of the series has already gained about 65,000 views.

The YouTube program will keep track of the effect of the Arab-Islamic people in history. In addition, it aims to showcase the dissemination of knowledge and the wealth of ideas of the Arabic Islamic culture. It is also regarded as part of the country’s efforts to improve relationships between Arab countries by promoting their shared cultural values.
