Qatar Airways expands Doha-Dubai connectivity to five daily flights, enhancing Middle East regional travel options.

Qatar Airways is significantly stepping up connectivity between the Gulf region's two aviation hubs, announcing a phased expansion of its flight frequencies between Hamad International Airport (DOH) and Dubai International Airport (DXB). Starting today, June 5, 2026, the carrier is increasing services from two to five daily flights to meet surging passenger demand.

The expansion is being rolled out in stages to ensure operational smoothness. Effective immediately, the airline has increased service to three daily flights. The fourth daily flight is scheduled for introduction on June 15, with the fifth flight set to resume during the peak summer season. These additional routes will be operated using the airline's wide-body fleet, specifically utilizing Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft.

This strategic move brings the total frequency to up to 35 weekly flights, reinforcing Qatar Airways' commitment to enhancing regional connectivity for both business and leisure travelers. The increase underscores the growing volume of traffic moving between Doha and Dubai, two cities that serve as major gateways for global travel.

Restoring Regional Momentum

The boost to the DXB route is part of a broader effort by Qatar Airways to restore and expand its network across the Middle East. The airline currently operates to over 20 destinations in the region. Earlier this year, the carrier successfully resumed operations to Dubai and Sharjah (SHJ) in April, followed by the restart of flights to Abu Dhabi (AUH) in May.

"This expansion reinforces our dedication to providing convenient and seamless connectivity," said a company representative, highlighting the airline's momentum in rebuilding its global footprint. By this summer, Qatar Airways aims to have its global network fully restored to over 160 destinations worldwide.

Passenger Advisory

As schedules evolve during this phased rollout, Qatar Airways advises passengers to stay informed. Travelers are encouraged to regularly check the official Qatar Airways website or mobile app for the most up-to-date flight schedules. The airline also reminds customers to ensure their contact details are correct and updated in their booking records to receive timely notifications regarding any changes.
