New Metrolink Route Launched for Al Waab Metro Station, Ain Khalid & Industrial Area
Enhanced connectivity for Ar Rayyan residents as Metrolink expands network with strategic new route integration.
Metrolink has announced the launch of a new route, M305, which will begin operating on 5 April 2026, offering direct connectivity between key locations in Doha. The new service will link Al Waab Metro Station on the Gold Line with Ain Khalid and the Industrial Area, providing commuters with enhanced transportation options.
The M305 route represents an important expansion of Metrolink services, which operate in parallel with Doha Metro service timings. This strategic addition will improve accessibility for residents and workers in the Ar Rayyan area, particularly those traveling between the popular Al Waab district and the Industrial Zone.
Al Waab Metro Station, located on the Gold Line, serves as a major transportation hub in the area. The new Metrolink connection will make it easier for commuters to access the broader metro network while maintaining convenient last-mile connectivity to their final destinations.
"This new route demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving public transportation connectivity across Qatar," said a Metrolink spokesperson. "The M305 will significantly benefit daily commuters and businesses in the Industrial Area while strengthening the integration between different transit modes."
The launch of the M305 route coincides with ongoing developments in Qatar's public transportation infrastructure. Doha Metro currently operates as a 76 km mass rapid transit system with three lines (Red, Green & Gold) and 47 stations, with future expansions planned to enhance connectivity throughout the country.
Commuters can expect Metrolink services to maintain their current operating hours, typically running from early morning until midnight daily, ensuring convenient access for various work and travel schedules.
