Ms Rachel Wears Dress with Art from Palestinian Children for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2025
YouTuber and educator Ms. Rachel wears art by Gaza’s children—with purpose—on the red carpet of the 2025 Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2025.
At the prestigious Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2025 in New York City, children’s educator and YouTube personality Ms. Rachel made a bold statement that went far beyond fashion.
Rather than presenting a conventional red-carpet look, she chose a custom up-cycled black-and-white gown embroidered with artwork created by nine Palestinian children from Gaza.
Each piece of embroidery on the dress told a story of resilience, hope and childhood amid conflict. The front featured a flower-covered peace dove with an olive branch; another design at the hem depicted a child feeding a cat from a bowl labeled “hope”, and the Palestinian flag appeared at the back of the gown. Underneath each drawing was the young artist’s name.
On the red carpet, Ms. Rachel carried printed photographs of each child whose work featured on the dress. She explained: “I’m carrying their stories in my heart. They all know about the dress, and they’re so excited.”
In her acceptance speech, Ms. Rachel emphasized her lifelong dedication to children’s rights worldwide, especially for those impacted by conflict. She said her platform wasn’t simply about entertainment—it was about elevating voices: “My love and care for children doesn’t stop at my own children… It embraces every child of the world.”
By wearing the art of Gaza’s children at a major global event, Ms. Rachel transformed a fashion moment into a platform of advocacy. Her gesture connected high-profile celebrity culture with grassroots storytelling, giving visibility to young artists whose lives are shaped by hardship and hope.
