Celebrating Pakistani Cinema: Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed Recognized in Dubai

In a recent ceremony held in Dubai, Pakistani film stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed were honored by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, for their significant contributions to the country's film industry.

The event, attended by members of the Pakistani community and diplomats, including Consul General Hussain Muhammad, celebrated the duo's impact on promoting Pakistani culture globally.

Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the role of artists like Khan and Saeed in elevating Pakistan's cultural identity on the international stage, stating, "The creative arts are one of Pakistan’s strongest forms of soft power. Artists like Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed bring our stories to the world and strengthen our cultural identity."

Both actors expressed gratitude for the recognition and the warm reception from the UAE-based Pakistani community.

Their visit to Dubai also served to promote their upcoming film, Love Guru, directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Vasay Chaudhry. Set to release on June 6, 2025, during Eid al-Adha, the film marks their first on-screen collaboration in nearly a decade, since Bin Roye
