Israel Allows Limited Humanitarian Aid into Gaza

Five UN trucks reach Gaza after months of blockade, yet the humanitarian crisis deepens amid ongoing airstrikes and warnings of famine.

Israel's military and the United Nations shared that five UN trucks have been allowed into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom Crossing after almost three months.

However, this aid is not enough for the humanitarian crisis that has developed in the enclave during this period. Food security experts last week warned of famine in Gaza.

Israel has completely blocked humanitarian aid from entering Gaza since March 2, pushing the Palestinian population in Gaza to acute starvation.

Israel allowed a limited amount of humanitarian aid to enter the enclave as it launched an intensive ground offensive in Gaza.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that the pressure from allies pushed him to allow limited aid into Gaza.

These ground operations have killed more than 150 individuals in the last 24 hours. On Monday, Israel carried out at least 30 air strikes within an hour in Khan Younis, killing more than 71 Palestinians across Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

UNRWA reported the death of three UNRWA workers in an Israeli strike at a UNRWA school.
