Iran Retaliates With Missile Attacks on Tel Aviv

Iran has begun its retaliatory response to Israel's attack on Tehran by launching missiles at Tel Aviv on Friday night, June 13. 

Iran's state news agency IRNA reported that the country launched a second wave of missiles towards Israel. 

IRNA also reported that two Israeli jets were downed in Iranian airspace. 

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that one person has been injured in Iran's missile attack, citing Israeli emergency services. 

Sirens have gone off and warnings have been issued in Israel and the occupied territories. 

Israelis have been advised to take shelter and remain in their homes. 

People in Amman, Jordan, have also been advised by the armed forces to stay in their homes. Interceptions of the missiles were also seen by citizens in Amman. 

The Israeli military later on stated that Iran launched "another volley of dozens of missiles".

An apartment block was hit in the missile attacks, and another residential building suffered significant damage in central Tel Aviv. 

According to unconfirmed reports in Israeli media, there is a fire near Israel’s Defence Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv, and rockets have fallen across seven areas in central Israel. 

Emergency services are at the site, and the streets have been cordoned off. 

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that its armed forces targeted military centers and air bases in Israel.
