Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was the star of the show, scoring his first IPL century. He reached the milestone in just 56 balls, finishing with 117 runs off 64 deliveries, including 10 fours and 6 sixes. Marsh's innings propelled LSG to a commanding total of 235/2 in their 20 overs.

Gujarat Titans' Valiant Chase

GT's innings commenced with a solid foundation laid by openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan. Gill contributed a brisk 35 runs off 20 balls, including seven boundaries, while Sudharsan added 21 runs from 16 deliveries, hitting four fours. The duo's partnership provided momentum to the chase, setting the stage for the middle order.

Sherfane Rutherford secured 38 runs in 22 balls and Shahrukh Khan scored 57 runs in 29 balls, but they could not secure their target, concluding the match at 202 for 9 in 20 overs.

  • LSG's Akash Singh made headlines by clean bowling Jos Buttler and celebrating with a "notebook" gesture, a tribute to his suspended teammate Digvesh Singh Rathi.
