IPL 2025: CSK Defeat KKR by Two Wickets

CSK defeated KKR in a nail-biting IPL 2025 match, with Noor Ahmad’s 4-wicket haul and Urvil Patel’s explosive debut sealing a last-over victory.

The Indian Premier League 2025 delivered another electrifying contest as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a high-stakes match on Wednesday, May 7.

Played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the game was packed with drama, stunning performances, and pivotal moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

KKR won the toss and decided to bat first. Ajinkya Rahane secured 48 runs off 33 balls, Andre Russell secured 38 runs off 21 balls, and Manish Pandey scored 36 runs off 28 balls, boosting KKR's score to a total of 179 runs. 

However, CSK outshone KKR with Dewald Brevis securing a half-century and two runs off 25 balls. The team's Shivam Dube also scored 45 runs in 40 balls, but Urvil Patel impressed everyone by securing 31 runs in 11 balls with an incredible strike rate of 281.81 in his IPL debut, winning the Super Striker of the Match award.

CSK secured a total of 183 runs, winning by two wickets with two balls left. The team's Noor Ahmad was named the 'Player of the Match' for picking up 4/31, limiting KKR to 179 runs.
