India Closes Airspace for Pakistani Flights

  • Publish date: since 2 day

Six days after Pakistan closed its airspace to all Indian carriers, India reciprocated by closing its airspace to all Pakistani carriers on Wednesday, April 30.

Both countries have blocked each other's airlines from their airspace until 11:59 p.m. UTC on May 23 (5:29 a.m. IST on May 24).

New Delhi released a Notice to Air Missions: "Indian airspace not available to Pakistan-registered aircraft and aircraft operated or leased by Pakistan Airlines. These include military flights."

The move comes after the Pahalgham attack, which ended in the death of 26 tourists.

The Pakistani information minister warned of an Indian military strike on Wednesday, however the Indian government has not made any public comments about this claim.
