Full Trailer Released for Shanaya Kapoor's Debut Film

Shanaya Kapoor’s Bollywood debut unfolds in a poignant romantic drama about love, longing, and emotional crossroads, co-starring Vikrant Massey.

The full trailer for Bollywood debutante Shanaya Kapoor's 'Aankhon ki Gustaakhiyan' was released on Tuesday, July 1.

The trailer reveals that the film will be about a visually impaired musician, Jahaan, and a theatre artist, Saba Shergill, who fall in love during their journey.

However, Saba cannot fully commit to Jahaan because she is in a relationship with Abhinav. Will Saba have her happily ever after with Jahaan? Fans are excited to know. 

Santosh Singh has directed the film, and Mansi Bagla has created and written the story. Bagla, Santosh Singh, and Niranjan Iyenger have written the screenplay.

The film features visually aesthetic landscapes and heartwarming music, so romance fans are in for a treat. 

'Aankhon ki Gustaakhiyan' will release in cinemas on July 11. 

Shanaya Kapoor

Shanaya Kapoor is a Mumbai‑based Indian actress and model from the famed Kapoor family. Daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor, she’s the niece of Anil and Boney Kapoor and cousin to stars like Sonam, Janhvi, Arjun, and Rhea Kapoor.

She stepped behind the camera as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020). In 2019, she made a glam debut at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris, catching the attention of fashion and film circles.

Shanaya is launching her acting career in two major films:

  • Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan (release: 11 July 2025) opposite Vikrant Massey, adapted from a Ruskin Bond story. Fans have already praised her on-screen chemistry, especially in the song “Nazara”.

  • Tu Yaa Main, co-starring Adarsh Gourav, is expected in early 2026.

She also debuted in the music video world with “Vibe”, featuring Guru Randhawa and French Montana, which sparked mixed reactions—while many appreciated her glam, others debated her dance skills and the role of nepotism.

Vikrant Massey

Vikrant Massey (born April 3, 1987, in Mumbai) is a critically acclaimed Indian actor known for his work across television, films, and streaming platforms.

Vikrant began his acting journey on television, appearing in popular shows like Dharam Veer, Balika Vadhu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo, and Qubool Hai, establishing himself as a reliable small-screen performer. His transition to film started with supporting roles in movies like Lootera (2013), Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), and Half Girlfriend (2017). His breakout came with A Death in the Gunj (2017), where his lead performance earned him a Filmfare Critics Award nomination and critical praise for his emotional depth.

Since then, Vikrant has become a sought-after name in Indian cinema, with roles in Chhapaak, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Haseen Dillruba, and Love Hostel. He has also made a strong mark on OTT platforms with acclaimed performances in Mirzapur, Broken But Beautiful, and Criminal Justice.

In 2023, he starred in 12th Fail, based on a real-life story, which won him the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor. The film was lauded for its inspiring narrative and Vikrant’s authentic portrayal.

In 2024, he appeared in The Sabarmati Report, a drama based on the 2002 Godhra train incident.
