After years of anticipation and postponements, Neelofar, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, is confirmed for theatrical release this winter.
The film wrapped up its principal photography back in December 2020, but delays—largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other scheduling constraints—kept audiences waiting.
In an Instagram post announcing the film’s return to the spotlight, the team teased: “Agli Mulaqat ka intezar rahay ga… Neelofar — This winter.”
Though little has been shared about the plot over time, the release confirmation rekindles excitement among fans who have long followed this cinematic reunion.
Neelofar reunites Fawad and Mahira after their memorable on-screen pairings in Humsafar and The Legend of Maula Jatt.
The film is directed by Ammar Rasool and co-produced by Fawad Khan, among others, with supporting cast members including Madiha Imam and Behroze Sabzwari. Mahira’s character in the film is reportedly blind, adding layers of dramatic challenge and emotional depth to the story.
