India storms into Asia Cup 2025 final after clinical 41-run win over Bangladesh

India maintained their flawless run in the Asia Cup 2025 with a dominant 41-run victory over Bangladesh in a Super Fours clash at Dubai on Wednesday, September 24.

Posting 168 for 6, India’s innings was anchored by a brutal assault from Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 75 off 37 balls, setting the platform for the bowlers to finish the job. 

Bangladesh’s chase never gained momentum. Despite a fighting 69 from Saif Hassan, the rest of the lineup crumbled under sustained pressure.

Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball, returning 3 for 18, while Varun Chakaravarthy (2/29) and Axar Patel (1/37) backed him up to dismantle the Bangladeshi batting order. 

With Bangladesh all out for 127 in 19.3 overs, India sealed their place in the Asia Cup 2025 final, simultaneously eliminating Sri Lanka from contention. As a result, Bangladesh must face Pakistan in what amounts to a virtual semifinal to join India in the title clash.
